Now you can free download WeChat.Chat with friends in a Live Chat session (available in the latest versions of WeChat for Android). An invitation message will be sent to the group chat's members automatically. 

It has some different features. Like....

Live Chat:

Hold the button in the middle. Talk after the tone when the indicator light turns green. Members in the Live Chat will hear you immediately. Only one person can talk at a time. The indicator light will turn red if you press the button while others are speaking, and you won't be able to talk. Press to hide the Live Chat window. You can then return to the Live Chat session by clicking on the green bar in group chat or the Live Chat notice message at the top. Click to quit the Live Chat session. You will no longer receive messages from this session again. 

Group Chat QR Code:

Invite your friends to a WeChat group chat via QR code.Open a group chat conversation and click at the top right corner. Select "Group Chat QR Code". Select "…" at the top right corner. You can share the group chat QR code via email or save it to your device. People can scan the QR code with WeChat to join this group chat. 

 

Chat History Backup:

Back up your chat history and restore it to your new device. Select "Settings"->"General"->"Chat History Backup". Click "Back Up" and select the conversations you would like to back up. You can set a password for the chat history uploaded. When you are logged in to another device, select "Restore" and enter the password (if you set one). The backed-up history will be restored to your device from the server.

Video Call:

Video Call is available on WeChat versions 4.2 and later, allowing you to talk to your friends face to face. In the chat window, press "+" and select "Video Call". If your friend has not sent you a message in the past 10 minutes, you need to send them an invite message and get a response in order to call them. Select "Video Call" again in the chat window. Your friend will see the following window and can tap Accept to start. You can switch between Video and Audio modes during the call. 

Moment:

Select "Social" -> "Moments". Press camera to share photos with your friends. Set the Visibility of photos you’re sharing and @ people whom you'd like to alert to your post. Like or Comment on your friends' photos; tap on a comment to reply directly to it. Select "Settings" -> "My Moments" to view a timeline of your own Moments.

Voice Chat:

Hold "Hold to Talk" to start recording a message. Release the button to send. While still holding down, you can move your finger up to the X button to discard and not send the voice message you are recording.

Web We Chat:

Click the magic wand icon at upper right and select "Web WeChat".  Click "Start" Scan the QR Code that shows up when you open your PC browser to web.wechat.com, then select "OK".

Emotions:

Select the smiley button in the chat window.Enhance your chats with a huge selection of emoticons. Select "Special" -> "+" to download emoticons from our online catalog or choose your own from your phone album. 

Group Chat:

Step 1: Open "Chats" and select the wand button at top right corner.  Step 2: Select contacts whom you'd like to join the group chat. Step 3: You can add more friends to the group chat later. 

Shake:

Select "Social" -> "Shake". You will see a notice for new users. Shake needs to access your location data. Please make sure you have both enabled Location Services from your Phone’s Settings menu and that WeChat has been granted permission in the Location Services sub-menu.Shake your phone to find people shaking their phones as well.Choose someone from "people found" and "Send Greeting" to make friends.

Look Around:

Select "Social" -> "Look Around" to find people using WeChat with Look Around enabled nearby. Choose one and "Send Greeting" to make friends.Look Around needs to access your location data. Please make sure you have both enabled Location Services from your iPhone’s Settings menu and that WeChat has been granted permission in the Location Services sub-menu.

Drift Bottle:

Select "Social" -> "Drift Bottle". (note: you may need to enable Drift Bottle from "Settings"->"Plug-ins" first in order to see it). Select "Throw" to send out your voice or text message, then wait to see you will pick up your bottle and reply. Select "Pick" to pick a drift bottle from the sea. You can reply to it or throw it back to the sea. Sometimes you may get a starfish. Just try again.
